This is a gorgeous hand carved wood chess set. The pieces are all hand carved wood. The board is also carved, burned, and stained.  The board folds to form a box to hold all of the pieces. I am not sure of age or origin, my guess is that it is a newer set, probably from Mexico or South America. The board measures 11 inches square. It is in great condition, no damage.
